Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026 · Last updated: August 4, 2026

monyvo provides a website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) that help business owners understand and improve their business health, including business assessments, business calculators, and educational resources. monyvo is operated by OO Research LLC (“OO Research”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. This includes your name and email address when you join the app waitlist or contact us; the responses you submit when completing the Business Health Check (which may include business, operational, and financial details such as revenue, expenses, pricing, staffing, and cash flow information); and any message content you send us through the Contact page.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website or app, we automatically collect certain technical information, including device type and identifiers, operating system, IP address, browser type, app version, general location (derived from IP address), and usage data such as pages viewed, features used, session duration, and crash/diagnostic logs.

Information from the app. If you download and use the Monyvo app, we may collect account information you create (such as email and password, or sign-in via a third-party provider), the business data you enter into the app to receive insights and recommendations, notification preferences, and, where you have granted permission, limited device permissions (such as camera or photo library access for document/receipt uploads, or notification permissions) — each of which you can manage in your device settings at any time.

AI-assisted data capture. If you use the app's AI capture feature to add orders, expenses, customers, or vendors from a photo, voice note, or pasted text, that photo, audio recording, or text is sent to Google's Gemini API to automatically extract the relevant details and pre-fill the record for your review before you save it. This processing is subject to Google's own API terms and privacy practices.

Advertising. Businesses on our free plan may see banner ads served by Google AdMob within the app. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) and ad interaction data under its own privacy practices to serve and measure these ads. This does not apply if you are on a paid Pro or Teams plan, which shows no ads.

Cookies and similar technologies. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. See Section 8 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) for more detail.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as government ID numbers, health information, or biometric data) unless you voluntarily provide it, and we ask that you avoid submitting such information through free-text fields like the Contact form or Business Health Check responses.

The business calculators on our website run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are never sent to us or saved — not by us, and not on your device. If you use a share button, your device passes the result to the app you choose, such as WhatsApp, and that message can include the figures or wording you entered. Nothing from a calculator reaches monyvo, shared or not.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your Business Health Check financial data to sell you third-party financial products without your explicit consent.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We use third-party vendors to operate the Services, including Firebase/Google Cloud Platform (for waitlist and account data storage, authentication, and app infrastructure), Resend (to send account, waitlist, and course-related emails, including free email courses such as our Six Steps course), Cloudflare (for website hosting and content delivery), Google AdMob (to serve advertising within the free version of the app), Google's Gemini API (to power the app's optional AI-assisted data capture feature, as described in Section 1), RevenueCat (to process and manage app subscription purchases made through Google Play Billing), and other hosting/analytics providers for the website. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes, except as described above for advertising and AI processing, which are governed by each provider's own terms.

Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Monyvo, our users, or the public.

Business transfers. If Monyvo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

With your consent. We may share information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.

We do not share your individual Business Health Check responses with other users or the public. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be used for analytics, research, or product improvement.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Waitlist, contact-form, and free course (such as Six Steps) submissions are generally retained for as long as needed to run the program or respond to your inquiry, or until you request deletion. Account and Business Health Check data are retained for as long as your account remains active, plus a limited period afterward for backup, legal, and audit purposes, after which the data is deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

Account and data deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us through our Contact page, or, once available, directly within the app's account settings. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — noting again that Monyvo does not sell your personal information. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

European Economic Area, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, our legal bases for processing your information include: performance of a contract (providing the Services you request), your consent, our legitimate interests (such as improving and securing the Services), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Other Jurisdictions (including Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa)

Where applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction — such as Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPA), Kenya's Data Protection Act, or South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) — grant additional or different rights, we will honor those rights to the extent required by law. Contact us using the details in Section 12 to make a request.

6. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for business owners and are not directed to, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 12.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encrypted data transmission and access controls on our backend infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and analytics scripts) to operate the website, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though doing so may affect the functionality of the website. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no common industry standard for how to interpret them.

9. International Data Transfers

Monyvo and its service providers (including Firebase/Google Cloud, Resend, and Cloudflare) may process and store information — including your name and email address if you sign up for a free email course such as Six Steps — in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States. Where required by applicable law, we take steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

10. Third-Party Links

The website and app may contain links to third-party websites, app stores, or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and, for material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law (such as via email or an in-app notice).

12. Contact Us
